School Based Program
We work with schools to PROVIDE CHILDREN THE SPACE, FREEDOM AND TOOLS TO EXPLORE, EXPERIMENT AND DISCOVER THEIR UNIQUE CREATIVE GIFTS.
The future is all about creativity.
This is not your traditional art class. We want kids to explore, expand and ignite their creative potential by working with their own creative process. We focus purely on the process of creative development and not on the techniques of painting or drawing. We are interested in our children becoming creative in all areas of their lives while being in relationship with others. We envision children becoming creative doctors, lawyers, teachers, parents, politicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, home makers and athletes.
HOW WE DO IT?
Our method is a hands-on, active discovery and following one’s own curiosity to encourage experiential learning (learning by doing) and innovation (learning by trying). To allow students to practice their curiosity, problem-solving skills, inquisitiveness and iterations, Our environments enable students to be creators.
Kids learn best in an atmosphere of safety where they don’t have to worry about mistakes, criticism and judgements …creativity can then flourish as they can fully engage into the creative process. Effective learning takes place when they can do it for themselves and learn by their own experience.
What you learn from experience you keep – it’s yours, what you memorize , is borrowed information and you always run the risk of forgetting.
WHAT DO KIDS LEARN?
Self- Leadership: Essentials for Success
They learn how to withhold judgement and manage their impulses.
They build cognitive skills like problem solving, concept development, critical thinking
They learn to take risk, confront their fears and become courageous.
They experience mistakes as stepping stones and become resilient.
They expand their ability to focus and stay on task
They learn to tap into their imagination to express their own ideas and originality. They create original, imaginative work rather than copying or tracing or trying to be like someone else.
They learn to listen and respect themselves and gain confidence in their own ideas.
They experience the power of self expression and learn to express themselves confidently.
They learn to respect their tools and their environment.
They work in a group and they learn social skills, how to express and exert themselves in a group and to respect each other’s expression.

Our painting groups are designed to assist college students in opening to their unique creative potential to facilitate a sense of well being. Students tell us they find this activity relaxing and stress relieving. Its also an opportunity to be with others in a non-competitive and healthy manner to build social well-being.
Life at university is often filled with pleasing and performing for others, it is easy to lose touch with yourself. Using the simple tools of paint, brush and paper, you are given the opportunity to experience the joy of reconnecting and experiencing yourself in a fresh way.
Skills and talent in painting are NOT needed. Our gentle supportive approach will provide everything that is needed to begin.
1. Joy: It provides the opportunity to access a different part of your brain – your imagination and intuition. Through regular practice difficult emotions are released and processed in a safe manner and as a result participants become more whole, relaxed and joyful,
2. Responsible: Participants become attentive and notice all the little choices and decisions they make. As a result they become more conscious in decision making in real life, so that decisions become choices that reflect one’s values, individuality and priorities.
3. Resilience: Part and parcel of the creative process is making “mistakes” or things not turning out as expected. With the support of our trained facilitators, we learn to face '“mistakes” creatively and develop resilence. As a result participants become more self-confident in adverse circumstances.
4.. Emotional Well-Being: Numerous studies have shown that making art is therapeutic, especially if done on a regular basis. What gets expressed, instead of suppressed, gets transformed, so that you become healthier. Picasso said that "art washes away the dust of life".
5. Social Capital: Students share a creative space with each other in a non-competitive environment where there is no judgement made. Instead they are encouraged to respect differences. As a result, relationships are built on acceptance and respect.
